The "Night Stalkers" of the 160th Special Operations Aviations Regiment (Airborne) live by one simple creed: Night Stalkers Don't Quit! These men are swift, sure, and above all, deadly.
   Night Stalker pilots are the best of the best in special operations aviation, driving onward no matter the odds. With state-of-the-art aircraft and equipment, they operate under the cover of darkness--hence the nickname.
   The Night Stalkers' role is to assist special operations from the air. This unit specialises in covert insertion, re-supply, and extraction of special operations teams. Other Night Stalker operations include armed escort, reconnaissance, surveillance, and electronic warfare in support of missions.
   Night Stalkers: 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment details the Night Stalkers themselves, their missions, and their specialised equipment, including OH-6 Cayuse light observation helicopters, MH-60 Black Hawk utility helicopters, MH-47 Chinook medium-modified helicopters, and MH-6 Little Bird helicopters.
